Job Description:

Qualifications:  Good customer service and phone skills, team player, able to follow written instructions and procedures, able to perform basic math, understand inventory, warehouse, and stocking procedures, knowledge of company products, basic computer skills, able to pass random drug/alcohol screenings and background check.

Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Service customers at the counter and over the phone by taking orders and entering them into the system accurately
  • Provide product, pricing and availability information to customers
  • Retrieve orders from warehouse quickly and accurately
  • Increase sales by cross-selling and offering promotional sales items
  • Handle customer complaints and returns
  • Keep counter area clean, and inventory stocked
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts
  • Participate in company sponsored sales promotions, and attend product training meetings
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
  • Educate customers about features and benefits of products, recommending items if needed
  • Receive phone calls and offer service/phone quotes to customers
  • Review calling queues daily
  • Respond to job queues, emails, and voicemails daily
  • Arrange back-up for duties when scheduling time away from work
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:  Stand/walk for duration of work hours, HEAVY LIFTING UP TO 100 LBS, UP TO 200 LBS WITH A HAND TRUCK, operate forklift (if applicable) in compliance with OSHA requirements

Dress Code:  No shorts, tank tops or sandals

Overview:  An hourly, non-exempt position that will efficiently assist walk-in and telephone customers with pricing and the selection of needed products
