Our First 2 Years as an Entrepreneur were GREAT, Thank You!
I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by iHeart Radio's David Yakir, host and producer of the Yak About series that runs on WAXE and REAL Radio in Florida and as podcasts on iHeart Radio.com. Being a guest on the Yak About series on entrepreneurial boomers gave me a chance to reflect on my two years of owning and leading Normann Staffing.
Listen here to Tony Marmo on iHeart Radio's Yak About.
Normann Staffing Business Highlights
Since acquiring Normann Staffing in May, 2014, the business has doubled. A BIG thanks to our client employers and to our employees, the people who fill the job openings. We have grown in medical and health care - from one client to about 10 today. It's the fastest growing segment and the most challenging. It's here where my 37 years in health care management helps the most.Still, the tradition begun by former owners Rob and Lorainne Normann, continues: two-thirds of the clients are still in office support, light manufacturing and assembly.
Thanks to the Normann Staffing Team!
All of this is possible because of the people working here at Normann Staffing - many of whom have been with the firm for years.
Because of the workforce shortage in today's economy, Normann Staffing is evaluating offering employees training, health insurance and even benefits such as paid holidays. We will make working for an employment agency more attractive, and provide additional employee consistency to our clients.
Normann Staffing is also considering making its own personnel management capabilities an offering to employers – providing them with training, payroll administration, and HR management. Next year will definitely see Normann Staffing further expanding its support to the health care sector. We're also expanding the geographic presence. Watch for new Normann Staffing offices in Dutchess County and Orange County.
